Capturing Stories in the Rockies: Our Weekend with Logos Healing Institute
This past weekend, Wyld Story packed up our gear, hopped on a plane, and headed to Colorado for something truly special ! We got to film a fundraising video for the incredible nonprofit, Logos Healing Institute.
From the moment we landed, it was an adventure. We met the founders of Logos and one of their clients at the French Pass Trailhead in the Rockies. We rented an epic Tacoma and off-roaded with all our gear out to a spot along the road where we camped.
We started out the day right with some excellent french press coffee and a hearty breakfast. Our goal for the day was to hike out to Logos’ base camp, the heart of their Wilderness Encounter Trips. Logos’ mission is three-fold:
Guiding transformative wilderness experiences.
Training clinicians in trauma-informed care.
Providing therapy for survivors of human trafficking and those impacted by complex trauma.
At base camp, we filmed interviews with the founders and a courageous survivor who had experienced one of these life-changing trips. Her story was powerful and deeply moving.

After the hike back, we celebrated with milkshakes then headed to Denver to continue filming at Logos’ headquarters. There, we captured Zoom interviews with seven people: board members, volunteers, and survivors . Each of these people will be the voice to the story we’re telling. Hearing firsthand how Logos’ work has impacted lives was humbling and inspiring.
The weekend wasn’t just about cameras and interviews, it was about connection. We shared dinner with our clients, swapped stories, and honestly became friends! On our final day, we carved out time to explore the Colorado mountains on our own, soaking in the beauty that makes the wilderness such a powerful place for healing.
This project reminded us why we do what we do. Storytelling isn’t just about visuals- it’s about the people, the mission, and the heart behind it all. We can’t wait to share the finished film and help fuel the incredible work of Logos Healing Institute.
