About The Project
Hume SoCal Winter
Weekend Recap Film for Hume Lake Christian Camps
Tucked in the San Bernardino Mountains, between Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead, Hume SoCal offers a unique camp experience year-round. But winter weekends up here are something special. Students bundle up for a weekend of snow, fun, worship, and moments that often mark a turning point in their faith journey.
Wyld Story was invited to capture one of these weekends and craft a film that not only showed what happened but revealed why Hume does what it does—to share the love of Jesus with young people in a meaningful, lasting way.
We filmed across the weekend, capturing everything from high-energy recreation in the snow to quiet moments of worship and teaching inside the chapel. Drone footage helped us showcase the beauty of Hume SoCal’s winter landscape, but at the heart of it all were the students—having fun, forming friendships, and engaging with the Gospel.
The timeline was fast. Filmed and edited in just two days, the goal was to premiere the video on the last morning of camp, giving students a chance to look back on the memories they made before heading home. The quick turnaround didn’t compromise the intention: to remind them of what God had done over the weekend and encourage them to carry that experience with them.
At Wyld Story, we love helping ministries capture these moments—especially when we can help tell a story that points people back to Jesus. Hume SoCal Winter was a project that combined stunning visuals, fast-paced editing, and a purpose that’s close to our hearts.
