D.I.R.T. (Dudes In Rugged Terrain)
Event Recap + Promo Film for Hume Lake Christian Camps
D.I.R.T. stands for Dudes In Rugged Terrain, and it’s exactly that—a weekend designed for men to get away, head out to the desert, and do what they love: ride, explore, and connect. Hosted by Hume Lake Christian Camps, D.I.R.T. brings together off-road enthusiasts of all ages for a few days of dirt biking, side-by-sides, RV life, and rugged adventure, all set in Ocotillo Wells, California.
But D.I.R.T. isn’t just about riding. It’s about creating space for guys to unplug from the noise, experience real community, and hear the truth of the Gospel. Around campfires, in chapel gatherings, and out on the trails, friendships are built, stories are shared, and faith is strengthened.
Wyld Story was invited to capture the energy and heart of this weekend—telling a story that goes beyond just the adrenaline and into why Hume runs events like this in the first place. We filmed everything from sunrise rides to evening worship under the desert sky, combining cinematic footage, drone shots, and raw GoPro clips from attendees to give an authentic view of the weekend.
The goal of this film was twofold: to tell the story of what happened and to invite others to be part of the next D.I.R.T. event. Whether someone is a long-time rider or just curious about the off-road world, D.I.R.T. offers a place to belong—and a chance to connect with God and others in a meaningful way.
At Wyld Story, we love working on projects that bring people together in unexpected spaces. D.I.R.T. is one of those stories—where rugged terrain meets life-changing connection.
