Hume Summer Staff Promo
Recruitment Film for Hume Lake Christian Camps
Each summer, Hume brings together an incredible team of young adults to serve as Summer Staff—people who are passionate about making camp happen and pointing students to Jesus. For many of them, it’s a summer that changes everything. Long days turn into lifelong friendships, and simple tasks turn into opportunities for growth, service, and impact.
Wyld Story partnered with Hume to create a recruitment film that gives future Summer Staff an authentic glimpse into what the experience is really like. And rather than just tell them why they should work at Hume, we let the current Summer Staff do the talking.
Throughout the summer, we filmed across Hume’s campuses, capturing the stories, moments, and community that make serving at Hume so meaningful. Whether it was working behind the scenes in the kitchen, leading activities on the lake, or pouring into cabin groups, each story was a window into life on Summer Staff. We combined that footage with firsthand interviews, allowing staff members to share—in their own words—how their time at Hume shaped them.
The footage came together over the course of the summer, and the final edit took about a week to complete. The result is a film that’s both informative and inviting. It answers the practical questions about working at Hume while showing the heart behind the experience: serving others, growing in faith, and becoming part of a tight-knit community with a shared purpose.
At Wyld Story, we love partnering with places and people that have made an impact on our own lives. This was one of those projects—a chance to tell a story we’ve personally experienced and deeply believe in.
