Hume Women’s Retreat
Promo Film for Hume Lake Christian Camps

Twice a year, Hume Lake hosts its Women’s Retreat—a weekend designed to create space for women to step away from the busyness of life and experience rest, fellowship, and spiritual renewal. It’s a time to gather with friends, worship together, and be encouraged through biblical teaching. For these retreats, Hume partners with speaker, author, and pastor Megan Fate Marshman, who brings energy, warmth, and deep biblical insight to every session.

For this project, Wyld Story was invited to help tell the story of what makes these weekends so special. The goal was simple: to create a promo film that would encourage women to sign up and be part of the experience themselves.

We partnered with our friend Nathan and spent about an hour filming on-site, capturing footage that reflected the heart of the retreat—joyful connection, meaningful worship, and time spent in community surrounded by the beauty of Hume Lake. The edit came together quickly, with the final video ready within half a day. Though the turnaround was fast, the story remained intentional and clear: this retreat offers women a place to be refreshed, encouraged, and reminded of who they are in Christ.

The finished piece now serves as a key invitation to future attendees—whether they’re returning after past retreats or considering their first visit to Hume. It’s a glimpse into a weekend designed for women to experience God’s love in a powerful and personal way.
