Hume Camperships

About The Project

Hume Camperships
Explainer Film for Hume Lake Christian Camps

For many students, a week at Hume is life-changing. It’s where they hear the Gospel, build new friendships, and step into a deeper relationship with Jesus. But not every family can afford to send their child to camp. That’s where Hume Camperships come in—providing financial assistance so that cost is never a barrier to a student experiencing camp.

Wyld Story was invited to create a film that explains the heart behind the Campership program. The goal: clearly show how the process works and why it matters. We wanted to tell a story that not only informed but invited people to be part of something bigger—whether that’s by applying for help or by giving to make camp possible for someone else.

While our work often leans into simple, cinematic storytelling, this project called for a different approach. To clearly communicate the Campership process, we incorporated motion graphics and a more dynamic editing style. It was important to make the information easy to understand, while still reflecting the warmth and purpose that Hume is known for.

We don’t often go heavy on graphics, but when the project calls for it, we’re up for the challenge. The finished piece combines clear visuals with thoughtful storytelling, breaking down the Campership program in a way that’s both accessible and engaging.

At Wyld Story, our passion is telling stories that matter. And when those stories help students get to camp and encounter the love of Christ? That’s the kind of work we’re proud to be part of.
